Artie Light, CSAC, CCS – Program Director
Artie has more than 15 years of experience as a substance abuse counselor. He is both a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and a Certified Clinical Supervisor. Crossroads feels very fortunate to benefit from Artie’s vast experience helping patients with their recoveries from addiction.
Artie earned his Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Rockingham Community College, his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from UNC Greensboro and his Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.
Artie has held a variety of mental health positions including a 7-year stint with the Rockingham County Mental Health Center, where he was promoted multiple times into several positions of increasing authority.
Artie is a long-term local area resident. Nothing makes Artie happier than helping our patients with their recoveries from addiction.
Kip Alan Corrington, MD, PhD – Medical Director
Dr. Kip Corrington is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He attended Texas A&M where he earned a B.A. in Philosophy. He was a three time Academic All-American football player at Texas A&M. Dr. Corrington earned a doctorate in Psychology and earned his M.D. from Texas A&M as well.
After college, Dr. Corrington played professional football as a defensive back with the Denver Broncos
Dr. Corrington completed his internship and residency training at Moses Cone Family Medicine Residency Program. He also did some additional work for Fellowship Hall Residential Treatment Center in Greensboro. Dr. Corrington also serves as a contract physician for MedVentures in High Point, NC, an affiliate of High Point Regional Health System.
Dr. Corrington is DEA-approved to prescribe and administer Suboxone® and he especially enjoys helping patients overcome addiction to opioids.
