That’s why Crossroads offers Instant Intake appointments in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, New Jersey, Tennessee and Virginia. The process is fast and simple. Instant Intake enables a same-call virtual visit with one of Crossroads’ caring providers.
What Patients Should Expect on the First Call
- When the patient calls Crossroads, a patient access specialist will provide a warm handoff to a Virtual Intake Coordinator (VIC).
- The VIC will check ID, obtain consent, confirm insurance and pharmacy, and schedule a follow-up visit at a nearby Crossroads center within seven days. The patient will be placed in a virtual waiting room and provided with an estimated wait time.
- The provider evaluates the patient and, if appropriate, electronically sends a prescription to the patient’s preferred pharmacy.
- The VIC rejoins the call to answer any remaining questions and ends the call.
- The patient picks up the medication from their chosen pharmacy.
